A 68° edição do Grammys aconteceu neste domingo às 22h (horário de Brasília), e acabou na madrugada de segunda, 2, com a apresentação de Trevor Noah pela sexta vez consecutiva.
A premiação reconheceu as melhores gravações, composições e artistas do ano de 31 de agosto de 2024 a 30 de agosto de 2025, conforme determinado pelos membros da Recording Academy. Esse ano duas categorias foram adicionadas, Melhor Álbum de Country Tradicional e Melhor Capa de Álbum, somando 95 no total.
Artistas como Billie Eilish, Kehlani, Bad Bunny e Olivia Dean aproveitaram a visibilidade da premiação para criticar as ações do ICE (agência de imigração dos EUA). Além disso, muitos cantores utilizavam bottons com “ICE OUT” (“fora ICE”) e citaram os ocorridos nos discursos, mostrando oposição ao governo Donald Trump e sua política migratória.
Um dos destaques da noite foi a performance de Tyler, The Creator, que levou uma apresentação intensa ao palco do Grammys com um medley de “Thought I Was Dead”, “Like Him” e “Sugar on My Tongue”. Sabrina Carpenter não ficou para trás, e também trouxe uma grande produção para “Manchild”. Uma novidade nessa edição foi a performance dos oito indicados a Artista Revelação em sequência.
A noite também contou com Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Rosé e Justin Bieber, com homenagens a Ozzy Osbourne por Post Malone, Slash e Duff McKagan, do Guns N’ Roses; Chad Smith, baterista do Red Hot Chili Peppers e o produtor Andrew Watt, e a dois grandes nomes do R&B D’Angelo e Roberta Flack, por Lauryn Hill.
A grande estrela da noite foi Kendrick Lamar com 5 vitórias. Ele se tornou o Artista de Rap mais premiado, levando o Álbum de Rap do Ano, Gravação do Ano, Melhor Performance de Rap Melódico, Melhor Música de Rap e Melhor Performance de Rap.
Bad Bunny conquistou o Álbum do Ano com DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, mas Lady Gaga também se destacou, recebendo 2 prêmios: Álbum Vocal Pop e Gravação de Dance Pop. Olivia Dean e Lola Young conquistaram o gramofone pela primeira vez em suas carreiras.
